RETURN POLICY

At Fishing Dock Tackle Shop, we want our customers to receive their orders in the condition and form in which they were purchased. If you receive an item that is defective, damaged during transit, or different from the item you ordered, you may request a return in accordance with the terms of this Return Policy.

1. Eligible Returns

Fishing Dock Tackle Shop accepts return requests for eligible merchandise when the item received:

  • Is defective;
  • Was damaged during shipping or transit; or
  • Is different from the item originally ordered.

Eligible return requests must be submitted within 20 calendar days after the date the order is shown as delivered by the applicable carrier.

This Return Policy does not provide for returns solely because an item is unwanted, no longer needed, or was ordered incorrectly by the customer, except where a return or other remedy is required by applicable law.

2. How to Request a Return

To request a return, please contact Fishing Dock Tackle Shop within the applicable 20-day period by either:

  • Using the "Contact Us" page on our website; or
  • Sending an email to fishingdocktackleshop@gmail.com.

Please provide:

  • Your order number or other proof of purchase;
  • The name and description of the item;
  • A description of the problem;
  • Reasonable supporting evidence of the reported issue; and
  • Any other information reasonably requested by our customer support team.

Supporting evidence may include photographs, videos, photographs of the shipping package and packaging materials, or other documentation that reasonably demonstrates that the item was defective, damaged during transit, or different from the item ordered.

3. Review and Return Authorization

All return requests are subject to review.

After receiving your request and supporting information, Fishing Dock Tackle Shop will determine whether the requested return qualifies under this Return Policy and applicable law.

If the return is approved, we will provide the customer with a Return Authorization and a prepaid return shipping label, along with instructions for returning the merchandise.

Please do not return an item before receiving return authorization and return instructions from Fishing Dock Tackle Shop.

Unauthorized returns may be delayed or may not be accepted.

4. Return Shipping

For an approved return because an item was defective, damaged during transit, or different from the item ordered, Fishing Dock Tackle Shop will provide a prepaid return shipping label.

Customers should retain the original packaging and shipping materials whenever possible, particularly when reporting damage that may have occurred during transit. Photographs of the exterior packaging, shipping label, and damaged item may be requested to assist with the review of a transit-damage claim.

5. Inspection of Returned Merchandise

Once an authorized return is received, the merchandise may be inspected to verify the reported issue and the item's eligibility for the approved return.

Damage or deterioration resulting from misuse, abuse, alteration, improper care, improper installation, or normal wear and tear is generally not considered a product defect or transit damage under this Return Policy, except where otherwise required by applicable law.

6. Refunds

If an authorized return is approved following review and inspection, Fishing Dock Tackle Shop will issue the applicable refund to the original method of payment.

For an approved return involving a defective, transit-damaged, or incorrect item, the refund will generally include the purchase price of the eligible returned item and applicable taxes.

Original shipping charges: [Select the applicable policy — "will be refunded" / "will not be refunded" / "will be refunded where required by applicable law"].

The prepaid return shipping label will be provided by Fishing Dock Tackle Shop for approved returns covered by this policy.

Once the refund has been issued, the customer's payment provider or financial institution may require additional processing time before the refund appears in the customer's account.

7. Shipping Delays and Order Cancellations

This Return Policy concerns returns after delivery and does not limit any rights a customer may have concerning an order that has not been shipped within the timeframe represented by Fishing Dock Tackle Shop or otherwise required by applicable law.

Fishing Dock Tackle Shop will provide shipping-time information applicable to an order and will make reasonable efforts to fulfill orders within the represented timeframe.

If we are unable to ship an order within the applicable timeframe, we will provide any notices, cancellation opportunities, refunds, or other remedies required by applicable law.

8. Customer Responsibility

Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping and contact information when placing an order.

Customers should inspect merchandise promptly after delivery and contact us as soon as reasonably possible if an item appears defective, damaged, or different from the item ordered.

The 20-day return-request period described in this policy does not limit any rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded or restricted under applicable federal or Virginia law.

9. No Waiver of Legal Rights

This Return Policy is intended to establish Fishing Dock Tackle Shop's standard return procedures. It does not waive, limit, or otherwise restrict any consumer rights, warranties, remedies, or protections that cannot legally be waived or restricted under applicable federal or Virginia law.

If any provision of this Return Policy is determined to be unenforceable or inconsistent with applicable law, that provision will be interpreted or modified to the extent necessary to comply with applicable law, while the remaining provisions will continue to apply.

10. Contact Us
